WELCOME BACK FEIST

After several long awaited years Feist’s most recent album Metals has been released. On Oct. 4 fans were once again blown away by her fresh indie sound that defines Feist’s non-Broken-Social-Scene-career- the sound that they have all been craving. Much like her previous album The Reminder (2007), Feist gives listeners exactly what they want right from track one. Kicking off the album with “The Bad In Each Other” sparks the yearning of this vibrant collection.  The album’s first single “How Come You Never Go There” turns listeners on for more. Metals makes it perfectly clear that every instrumental nuance soaks up the same amount of importance in each song, and her tasty gentle voice leaves listeners wanting more. Both vocally and musically this production of Metals shows that the wait was well worth it. The eclectic style of vocals and instruments flows throughout the entire album. As one of the more prominent female vocalists of this post-pop era, she takes the cake for having such a colorful album. This raw crisp sound is a refreshing change of pace to those indie genre fanatics entering this fall season.
